If you wish to exit Gaza, the Government of Canada must disclose your full name, date of birth, sex, passport or national ID details, mobile phone number, and current location by district to the national authorities responsible for exit and entry, as well as Canadian federal organizations and service providers in the region who may assist in your departure. This information must be disclosed for every traveller.

We require your consent to disclosure of this information. If you do not consent to sharing this information, Canada will not be able to facilitate your departure from Gaza. Although we will take steps in accordance with the Privacy Act to protect your personal information, the Government of Canada cannot give assurances as to how that information will be protected, used or further disclosed once it is disclosed. There is a strong possibility that the names of applicants who are approved for crossing will be shared publicly.

Canada will also disclose your information to service providers involved in the facilitation of your transit from the Rafah border to Cairo, where you will be provided with temporary accommodation for 48 hours upon your arrival. You or your anchor relative are responsible for your own accommodation after 48 hours.

The Government of Canada cannot guarantee your departure from Gaza, nor can it guarantee onward travel to Canada if you are deemed to be ineligible or inadmissible.

Please note that:

Each of your adult (18 years of age and over) family members must provide consent for themselves.
